A true British motoring classic, Minis have gone through a major revamp and development
over the last decade and have turned from a car that was introduced in the sixties as one of the smallest on the market to a car that is cool, trendy, reliable, performs well and most notably to some, has bags of space.However, this development has come at a cost and to buy a new Mini in today's market, you're going to be looking at well over 10,000 pounds - a figure that isn't affordable considering what you receive for your money, but one that some believe puts the car into a financial bracket that means it has to compete against cars a lot better than it (for just a few thousand pounds more, you could purchase a brand new BMW 1 Series).
What a lot of people forget, though, is that the prices of Minis - just like most other cars - don't stay the same throughout the year and depending on what time of year you go to Mini dealers really does depend on how much you pay for the model.

1. After Christmas - in the most basic form, the car selling / buying process happens by one person asking for a certain amount of money for a vehicle and another person having the required money to hand over for the vehicle.
Once Christmas is over, however, not many people have the required amount of money to buy the vehicle they want and therefore to increase sales in this slump, most dealerships lower prices or raise incentives.
2. End of February / August - cars with brand new registration plates hit the roads on 1 March and 1 September. To make room for the latest models that are fresh of the production line and which are going to be give a brand new registration plate, a lot of dealerships try to get rid of as much stock as possible at the end of February and end of August, so that they have space for as many new cars as possible.
3. Bank Holiday weekend - whether it's Easter, May or August, you're bound to be able to get a great package from Mini dealers if you head to them during the Bank Holiday weekends for the simple fact as people are more likely to be out and about to take advantage of the long weekend, the dealerships very often offer special promotions their entire Mini range.
4. At the end of the month if you can't wait until After Christmas, February, August or a Bank Holiday weekend, make sure that you head to Mini dealers at the end of the month if you're looking to buy a new model.
As the salesperson will be wanting to get any commission that they make included within that month's pay cheque, if you can go Mini hunting towards the end of the month, the salesperson is likely to do whatever they can to secure the sale.
