In its 29th year this festival opens up the stage to more than 50 different groups and some of the biggest names in gospel.
If you're looking for something a little different from your festival experience the annual Air and Water Festival attracts thousands of visitors and consists of two days devoted to everything that flies or sails. The festival puts on fighter jet air shows and coast guard rescue demonstrations that are guaranteed to keep you glued to your seat the entire day. If you have the kids in tow head to the Family Fun Festival which is on throughout June and July. This small activity centre is housed in Chicago's Millennium Park and hosts a variety of kids' games, activities and theatre shows that are perfect for a fun day out with the entire family.
If all that running around makes you hungry be sure to stop by the Taste Festival where you can sample some of Chicago's finest cuisine and tuck into plenty of exotic and delicious treats. This festival attracts some of the best chefs in the area so a day out here will be well worth a visit.
