West Lake Azalea Festival
April 20 to May 20, held in Manlong Guiyu Park
West Lake Lotus Flowers Festival
It is held from July to August in Quyuan Fenghe. The activities are: appreciating lotus flowers, picking lotus fruits, peeling lotus seeds, making lotus meal, listening to folk drama, pray in lotus lamps, lotus fair, West Lake Lotus Miss Photo Model Competition, and China lotus species exhibition.
West Lake International Osmanthus Festival
From late September to early October, it is held at the same time in West Lake Manlong GuiyuManjuelong village, and Hangzhou Botanical Garden. The activities are: appreciating Osmanthus flowers, drinking tea, enjoying Osmanthus food products, cultural performance, and painting exhibition.
West Lake Mid-Autumn Party
During Lunar August 14 to 16, the festival is held at Pinghu Qiuyue. The activities are: acrobatics, folk music performance, style dinner, and night touring West Lake.
West Lake International Fireworks Festival
It is held in mid-October. The activities are: fireworks in full bloom and enjoying the amazing night sight.
Transportation
Visitors could take No.1 to No.5 travel lanes to the West Lake. The buses are all receiving coins automatically for 2 yuan per ticket. From West Lake, you could take bus to any attractions around for 1 yuan per ticket. At present, most scenic spots in West Lake has opened bicycle service, you could go to one of the designated site to rent a bike and return it at other site. There are small coach for you to take, usually 15 to 35 yuan.
