A colorful butterfly on one cheek will be more than enough to delight your child.
A comfortable chair is an absolute requirement, especially if you will be painting more than one face. I suggest a low chair for you and a higher stool for the child. This will allow you to work at eye level. Your back will thank you.
A hand mirror is an invaluable tool. It will let the child monitor your progress and will help keep their attention long enough for you to complete your work.
Face painting may seem like a daunting task. It isn't. You may find that you actually enjoy it. It allows you to spend quality time with your children and look like a hero while you are doing it.
