As you drive along the coast you will soon come across the 16th century town of El Jadida, also built by the Portuguese. Here you can either laze on the magnificent beach that stretches along the coast or explore the monuments such as the gothic Church of the Assumption.

If all you feel like doing is lying on the beach and taking a swim, then head for Ain Diab Beach, which is close to Casablanca. It is very popular on weekends, when the locals stroll along the Boulevard De la Corniche that stretches along the seafront or sit at one of the cafs and beach clubs where the local jet set can be spotted. The favorite beach delicacies are the Moroccan pastries that vendors sell along the beach area.

Agadir Beach is probably one of the most popular beaches around the area of Casablanca, and understandably so. The beach is sheltered in a crescent-shaped bay with the backdrop of gentle hills sheltering the beach from strong winds.
