If you are looking for some high adrenaline activity during your Newquay holidays, then you should definitely head over to the Active 8 High Ropes centre in St. Austell. The centre is not far from the Cornwall holiday cottages; however, you will need to get there early so that you can fully enjoy all the activities. The action starts at 9:30 a.m. and goes on for 3 hours. Children above 7 years are allowed to take part in the activities at this centre. You will have to wear a good pair of trainers and clothing that is suitable for outdoor activities. The centre does not provide any refreshments, so you will need to pack your own refreshments and snacks before leaving your holiday cottage. This activity will really test your aptitude. There are a number of activities like climbing the wall, giant swing and the "leap of faith" which is a must-try before leaving the centre. However, if the weather is not favourable, you will not be able to participate in all activities.
Multi Activity Day
The Multi Activity Day is another interesting activity that is held at the Active 8 Centre in St. Austell. Again, this activity will require that you leave your Cornwall holiday cottage early in the morning to get to the venue before 9 a.m. The activities start at 9:15 a.m. and finish at 3:30 p.m. You will have to dress suitably to participate in out-door activities and you will also have to carry your own lunch packet. The Multi Activity Day is suggested for groups or families during their Newquay holidays. The activities are suitable for participants 6 years and up. You and your family will enjoy the activities at this centre. The "Climbing Wall" is one of the popular activities for the whole family. You can also try your hand at archery. If the weather permits, the targets can be set up outside and if not, the targets will be set up indoors in a properly equipped building. The "High Ropes Course" is another activity you should try at the centre. This activity will test your skills and is for the more adventurous ones. You can also try your hand at mountain biking while you are here at the centre. Your Newquay holidays will not be complete without spending a day at this centre.
