One of the most famous beach in the Goa which was named after Dona Paula de Menzes, daughter of the viceroy who was refused to get married with the local fisherman Gaspar Dias. The beach Dona Paula offers an opportunity for the tourists to have the sunbath and also allows to get the seaside hotel at nominal price from the local vendors. The beach has also been the popular attraction as many movies are also shot there like Ek Duje ke Liye.
Tourist Attractions at Dona Paula Beach
Water Sports: is the most special highlight of the beach. The Dona Paula sports club offers the sports like water scooter, cycle and motorboat rides. Other water sports includes windsurfing, parasailing, water- skiing, toboggan ski biscuit, skibob, sports fishing, snorkeling, harpoon fishing, kayaking and yatching.
National Oceanography Institute: was established in the year 1960's and is also develops the marine biology and is also incorporates the major branches of the coastal and marine oceanography. The special highlight of beach is Marine Biology Museum and Taxonomy Reference Center.
Cabo Raj Niwas: is half kilometers away from the National Oceanography Institute. The tomb of Dona Paula de Menzes is there in Cabo Chapel. The Raj Bhawan gives the excellent view from the nearby coastline and also from the Aguada Fort.

The beach has been located at the distance of 7 kilometers from the Indian state Goa's capital Panjim (Panaji), the beach has been located at the southern side of the rocky hammer shaped headlands that divides Zuari and Mandovi estuaries. The beach has made the city the most popular tourist sight.
Excursion from the Dona Paula Beach:
The special highlight of Dona Paula Beach are Reis Magos Church and the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary. Located at the distance of 10 kilometers from the beach and is the most oldest church that has been built in Goa. The church was once the residence of all the dignitaries and also the mission center of the Franciscan order. The two other beaches located at the proximity of Dona Paula beach are Miramar beach located at the 4 kilometers of Dona Paula and Vainguinim Beach located at the 1 kilometer west.
Shopping at Dona Paula Beach
There are number of shops that are located on the beach side where we can get variety of products which ranges from eatables to clothes. The fisherman has turned local vendors at the beach side and also sell hats, lace handkerchiefs, and spices. Feni and port wine are the local liquors which are easily available at the beach side. The Indian jewelery and handicrafts are available at the Indian Arts Emporium at Dona Paula.

By Air: The nearest airport is at Dabolim located at 29 kilometers from Panaji and 36 kilometers from Anjuna.
