Dog Urine Odor Problems? Try These Three Easy Steps

Removing dog urine odor and stains is difficult if you have no idea how to deal with it in the first place

. If you have a pet dog, it is your obligation to train your dogs to avoid them to urinate everywhere and you don't have to deal with pet urine odors and stains constantly. However, regardless of how well you think you train your dogs, there would always come a time that they would have those little accidents which would make them urinate inside your homes and when that happen it is your sole responsibility to make the urine stains and odors disappear.

There are simple and easy steps which could guide you and help you eliminate dog urine together with its odors and stains from your homes.

The first and the most important step is to determine the exact spot where your dog has peed. By doing so, you know exactly where to begin. Locating the exact spot on where your dog has peed is very easy if the urine is still fresh, but when time has already passed it is almost impossible to find the spot with your naked eye. You can use black light to locate the urine when several hours has already passed.

Next is to soak up or blot up the fresh urine form your carpet. You can use paper towels or newspaper in doing this. Try to absorb as much urine as you can. Do not rub the area because it will only spread the urine within the carpet.

The third step is to clean up the area by using homemade or commercial solutions. For homemade solution, you can use vinegar, baking soda, dishwashing soap and hydrogen peroxide. When you decide to make your own homemade solution, make sure that you test it into a small area of your carpet to make sure that it will not ruin your carpet when the odor and the stains are all gone.

If you are not at ease in using the products which can be found at home, you can use pet odor removal products which are specially made for problems like these.
