Do You Need A Neck Pillow Or Travel Pillow?

Do You Need A Neck Pillow Or Travel Pillow?

It seems no matter how young you feel and no matter how healthy you are

, you just can't get a good nights sleep without a neck pillow. If you are someone who travels a lot, you also will find that you benefit a great deal from using a good travel pillow too. So what is the difference between a travel pillow and a neck pillow? Not much, but it depends on your preferences and your tastes. You can have a travel pillow that is just a miniature version of the pillows that you use on your bed at home, or you can have them that are U shaped. These U shaped ones are usually what people refer to as the neck pillows, and now more than ever, when people are into health and supporting their necks, back and shoulders, these pillows are important to proper alignment and a good night's rest.

We all know by now how important a good night's rest is, and the best way to do that while you are traveling by air, sea or by land is to use a good, supportive pillow. There are a lot of different designs, styles and sizes, but there are also different fillings that are put into them. These fillings more than anything else constitute a good pillow or a bad one, so make sure that you know the differences between them all so that you can make the best decision for you. Some of the cheaper pillows have the traditional fillings of cotton, polyester or a blend of them, and although you will pay less for these pillows, you will find that they are much less supportive and they also do not last as long as the better quality products.

So what kind of fillings make up the high quality neck pillows? Most of the best fillings are buckwheat hulls and millet hulls for a lot of different reasons. First of all, you should know that pillows with these hulls in them are a bit more expensive than the traditionally filled ones, but they last infinitely longer than them. Millet hulls and buckwheat hulls are hypoallergenic and they do not attract dust mites, either. In addition, they are easy to clean and easy to care for as well. You don't have to wash them, don't have to do any special treatments and you will not really have to pay much attention to them at all as far as cleaning goes. All you will have to do every other year is to set it up in the sun for a couple of hours to freshen it. That is it! Wouldn't that be a very easy neck pillow to take with you on your next flight?
