In the forest of Cambodia, lying within a cycle ride of the town of Siam Reap, are the towering Temples of Angkor. In the Atacama Desert of Northern Chile it has not rained since record keeping began. This has resulted in a wonderfully peaceful deep red desert which stretches for 600 miles. Here you can cycle or Horse ride into the Devil's Canyon or sand-board down Dragon Hill (just take plenty of water and sun cream). Accommodation is at a premium in the desert but you can save money on food if you stick to the locally produced bean stew.
East Africa's landscape and varied wildlife has to be experiences to be believed. In Tanzania climb the towering 5898m of Mount Kilimanjaro. Treks last, on average, 7 days and combine lush forest scenery with wonderfully snowy summits. This is truly an unforgettable experience.
