Deciding What To Do With The Sales Leads You Find Online
If you are a business owner who is in search of sales leads
, you will soon find them. Whether you search the internet manually, use a leads finder that lets you search thousands of websites at once based on a keyword or keyword phrase, or if you hire a professional, you are going to get a lot of leads. Here comes the tricky part though; what should you do with that information?If you used a desktop leads finder application that lets you search the internet based on a relevant keyword or keyword phrase, you are at an advantage. This is because you didn't collect a random list of email addresses or phone numbers. What you did was look at real postings online and found your targeted market. Say you run a daycare business, a search with one of these applications helped you find parents who were outright stating they needed daycare, parents who were selling their old kids clothes or toys (parents who might need childcare). Since you are looking at more than just a phone number or email address, it will be easier for you to make a well-informed decision.
Speaking of that well-informed decision, what should you do next with your sales leads?
Categorize Them: If you have information on the lead, categorize your leads into three separate lists - great, okay, and no. Great sales leads are those who outright state they are looking for what you have to sell. So lets go with that daycare example, you got some parents in your area who say online "we need a good daycare provider." Okay leads are people within your targeted market but no guarantees are shown. A good example of this is parents looking to buy or sell children's clothes; they have children so they might need daycare. No leads are those that just give you the impression that you are wasting your time. As you can imagine, these are deleted from your list.
Make Contact: When it comes to contacting sales leads, you should have an email address or phone number. Making contact via email is quicker and easier. Local business owners can benefit from over-the-phone contact because it does add a personal touch. What you are doing is basically sending a sales pitch via emails; this is what I do or sell and this is why I think you can a benefit from my products or services. Those great sales leads (the ones where they outright state they need what you have) should deserve the best sales pitch possible and possibly a discount or incentive.
As you can see, it is pretty easy to determine what you are going to do with all those sales leads you have found. Of course you can send everyone a sales pitch via email, but there are benefits to taking a closer look. As stated above, some leads will be more promising than others and these might require a bit more effort. This extra effort will only take a minute of your time, but it is likely to payoff in the end. Good luck!
