After many researches it has been found out that dance boosts the self esteem of children. It makes them feel good and also helps them to gain confidence in their own capacity. Parents should make it a point to allow their children to dance for an hour and not more than that. Many people do not believe but it is true that through dance children can improve their memory. During dance they are required to remember steps and with that practice their memory power grows sharper in other aspects also. Dance also helps the children to become good listeners. They need to concentrate on the beat of music to which they dance. This helps them to improve their concentration. When you dance in a group you need to coordinate with others. You need to keep your steps aligned with the others. In this way, through dance children learn to interact and match up with others in a group. This also makes them compatible with others very easily.

According to the old civilizations, a dance was used as a sign to express something important was going to happen or has happened already or may be happening. People were made to dance while preparing a warrior for battle or to crown a king and dancing in the marriages has always been and is still common.

Dance is not only a wonderful form of exercise but also helps the circulatory system of the body and improves cardiovascular health. It improves the flexibility in body of a person and also improves the muscle tone. Tension and stress can be reduced by dancing. The advent of the computer had children glued to them with video games and the Internet such that Obesity became a common problem for children these days. Thats because they do not do much of physical exercise. This is one of the most common problems that can be solved with dance. Parents must try admitting their in schools that offer dance as an option to give them the best of co-curricular activities for a well developed personality.
