Dallas Cowboys Tickets - Analyzing The Cowboys' Injured Offense

The Dallas Cowboys have had high expectations for the 2010-11 NFL season ever since drafting explosive wide receiver Dez Bryant in April

. The 'Boys are coming off an 11-5 season last year with a solid postseason run to the divisional round in the playoffs, and they've been preparing for an even better season this year with Tony Romo leading the way.

While the Cowboys have the formula to success waiting to be put into play, a few offensive injuries have been setbacks hindering the team from coming out of the gates strongly so far this season. With one preseason game under their belt, the Cowboys are already battling injuries and finding holes in their depth chart. Here are just a couple offensive positions that will see some unfamiliar faces this preseason.

Tight End: Dallas' corps of tight ends has already been mostly depleted - at least on the front end of the depth chart. In fact, Jason Witten is the only starter healthy right now. No. 2 TE Martellus Bennett is coming off a sprained ankle, No. 3 John Phillips is out for the rest of the season with a torn ACL and rookie free agent Scott Sicko recently suffered a concussion, putting him out of play as well.

To patch up the glaring hole at tight end, the team's biggest concern at this point, the Cowboys have added rookie tight end DajLeon Farr and also veteran Jason Pociask to the lineup. Farr is a receiving tight end who was briefly signed to the San Diego Chargers this offseason as an undrafted free agent. Pociask, on the other hand, is a blocking tight end who was drafted to the New York Jets in 2006 and has since played with a plethora of NFL teams including the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New England Patriots, Indianapolis Colts, Carolina Panthers and Seattle Seahawks. Wide Receiver: The Cowboys still have Roy Williams, who is a lead seller of Dallas Cowboys tickets, as well as Miles Austin, but the offseason addition of Dez Bryant is what has gotten Cowboys fans talking about this season with excitement. Bryant suffered a high ankle sprain earlier this offseason and looks to be on the mend, but he is still recovering and probably won't see much playtime in the preseason.

Right Tackle: Starter Marc Colombo is sitting out the rest of the preseason after injuring his knee in practice and undergoing arthroscopic surgery. He looks like he'll be ready to go for the start of the regular season, though. Veteran Alex Barron or rookie Sam Young will likely slide into his place in the meantime, leaving the Cowboys a little weaker than normal but certainly not a pushover in their remaining preseason games.

If it's any consolation, the Cowboys look to be fixing their problems quickly and quarterback Tony Romo has faith the team will gel in time for the regular season. Speaking confidently to NFL.com about this season for the Cowboys, Romo said, "I think we're going to have a pretty good red-zone offense this year. I think we're going to have a good offense, period. It's going to be fun." Let the games begin!
