If you're looking for a night out with friends that's not in the midst of the busy city hustle, and is laid back, warm and welcoming, this just might be the spot for you.
Cushion Lounge is located in central St Kilda on Fitzroy Street with tram stops at its door step for easy access. It is also conveniently located next to a couple of pizza joints if you'd like a quick bite before or perhaps, after your night out. Entry will set you back $10 but you can avoid this by getting there before 11pm.
Once you enter, you'll find yourself at a cosy but spacious dance floor. This is bordered by intimate booth style seating providing the perfect space to lay back and chill out with a cocktail. The venue is relatively small which makes it ideal for those wanting to catch up with friends and have a little dance before clocking off for the day.
Drinks are quite affordable and on Friday nights they offer competitive specials on basics, such as their $3 Draught Pots or $7 Vodka Cruisers on Friday nights. They also have a small yet exquisite cocktail list with prices starting at $14.
The music has a chilled out vibe mixed with some electro hits and dance floor rhythms all put together by some very talented local DJs. Adding to this vibe are the wonderful bar and entry staff who are cordial and fun, which really adds to the experience at Cushion.
Cushion Lounge opens its doors to clubbers on all nights over the weekend as well as Tuesday.
