F & C Osler were a prominent 19th century manufacturer of crystal ware from intricate tables to sparkling fountains. They were commissioned by the then Maharran Sajjan Singh who unfortunately was unable to see his dazzling collection as he passed away before its completion.
Visitors walking through the gallery will be mesmerised by intricately cut crystal used on a variety of glassware and furniture ranging from bed hangings, sofa ends to honey decanters and trays. The collection is truly dazzling and magnificent. Even the high imposing entrance to the gallery is a prime example of the use of quartz, it is said to be very intricate and delicate and requires a lot of care and maintenance.
