The rewards available typically include complimentary hotel nights on weekends and weekdays without blackout dates, room upgrades, complimentary flights with no blackout dates with over 350 airlines and other treats such as VIP concert tickets and opportunities to meet celebrities.
There are also a number of airmile schemes available.
For instance, every 1 spent on the Virgin Atlantic Black Credit Card will be converted into two Virgin Flying Club air miles. Merely signing up for the card will get cardholders an impressive 6000 bonus miles.
The Virgin Atlantic Black credit card also rewards those who buy directly from Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Holidays by doubling their miles. These Flying Club miles can be used on hundreds of rewards - including flights, car hire and hotel rooms.
Another alternative is the British Airways Premium Plus Credit Card.
This can earn cardholders 1.5 BA miles for each 1 spent in purchases. Similarly to the Virgin Black card, they can also earn double miles when they fly with British Airways, and be rewarded with 6,000 bonus BA miles with their first card purchase.
The BA miles earned with this credit card can be redeemed for flights on British Airways and their partner airlines, including American Airlines, Aer Lingus, Cathay Pacific, Lan, Qantus, SN Brussels Airlines, Alaska Airlines and Japan Airlines.
Other benefits include automatic membership of the British Airways Executive Club - which offers access to priority check-in services, airport lounges and exclusive reward flights.
