Being a holiday resort swathed in sunshine for the entire summer the Costa del Sol is home to some of the best European beach clubs. Thanks to places like Miami in the USA and St Tropez in southern France the beach club culture has arrived on the Costa del Sol.
There is a mixture of different types of beach clubs on the Costa del Sol from the extremely glamorous and expensive beach clubs like Nikki Beach and Ocean Club to lower key beach clubs like Bono Beach in east Marbella and Bikini Beach in Estepona.
Nikki Beach Marbella This is the height of glam and is aimed at attracting the rich and famous party goers who rather than relax on the beach prefer to drink Champagne or Mojitos while dancing the day away to a mixture of live music and DJ's.
Ocean Club This is a beach club located in the heart of Puerto Banus and it has become famous for its Champagne spray parties which are exactly as the name suggests. At the end of the afternoons sun bathing and dancing the sunbathers are encouraged to spray each other with bottles of Champagne to end the afternoons entertainment.
Buddha Beach If you still want sophistication but in a more relaxed atmosphere, then Buddha Beach is the place for you. Located just outside of the main Puerto Banus the beach club offers sun loungers on the beach or around the pool and during the day there is a more relaxed vibe than some of the other beach clubs.
Puro Beach This is a beach club that already has a huge following in Mallorca and has arrived in Estepona on the Costa del Sol. It has beds on the beach or around an amazing pool and is within a trendy commercial centre called Laguna Village with a choice of restaurants and some designer boutiques.
Bikini Beach Again located in Estepona but on the main promenade this is a relaxing and very affordable beach club with beds on the beach. There is music but it is background and the atmosphere is much about sunbathing and relaxation. If you want to eat they have a restaurant serving the usual beach food from hamburgers to pasta dishes.
