It is one of the oldest national parks of India which can be best visited from October to March. The park is dotted with more than 600 tree species including shrubs, herbs, bamboos, grasses, ferns and climbers. Visitors can enjoy the sights of a variety of wildlife inside the Park. Tigers, leopard, sambar, deer, langur monkeys, wild boars, peacocks, spotted deer, crocodiles, Sloth and Himalayan Black bears, Indian Grey Mongoose, otters, yellow-throated martens,and wild elephants are a few to name. Around 580 bird species inhabit the park making it alive with their melodious voice. Some migratory birds can also be sighted here. To add more adventure to your visit you can indulge in fishing near the Park at Pancheshwar, Ramgarh and Binsar.
