Common Types Of Kids Bedroom Lighting

When you fix up your childrens room, one of the essentials that you should not forget is kids bedroom lighting

. Just like any part of your house, it is not enough to have just one source of lighting in your childrens bedroom. Here are some of the most common types of kids bedroom lighting:

1. LED Lamps

LED lamps uses LED for its light so this lamp is a bit bright. Usually LED lamps are those that can stand alone because these are usually used for desks. This helps your children read and write better while they do their home works. These provide white light which are bright enough but not too strong so that your children can comfortably use it up close. The light is focused to a specific direction because it comes with a top cover just like normal desk lamps.

2. Night Light

Most children have a hard time falling asleep in complete darkness. This is when you need night lights. These are usually soft lights which have direct plugs. This means that there are no long wires to between the light and the plug. These are meant to be placed directly onto the plugs which are located near the floor. This gives your childs room a soft light that doesnt give much glare, so your children can have the light that they need while allowing them to fall asleep. Most night lights are yellow to give that sleepy atmosphere which will calm your children and put them to sleep.

3. Glitter Lamps

Glitter lamps can also stand on flat surfaces. Usually these are placed beside the bed, on the bedside table. Just think of it as a childrens version of bedside lamps. The glitters on the lamp are placed there specifically for children. These glitters can either move around or are just in placed around the lamp. These lamps give a soothing and calming effect which helps children relax and sleep as well.

4. Lanterns

These are usually inspired by the round Japanese lanterns printed with cute cartoon characters. You can opt to hang this onto the ceiling of your child as a decoration but it is not advisable to use these as the main light of the room. The lantern usually softens the light emitted by the bulb that is placed inside it. Some lanterns have cut-outs or shapes printed on it to which, when switched on provides that magical effect as the shapes crawl onto any surface that it hits. You can use this to substitute a night light. Just make sure that you use a light bulb which emits very soft light.

All these kids bedroom lighting types come in varying prints and colours which would fit your childs taste. You can easily purchase these online or in your local department store. Just make sure to get the right bulb for these.
