Every move has its different aspects. Some clapham removals are more common then others. It is basically a simple procedure to move a house. Household goods are boxed up and carried out to the truck or van. Furniture is bundled up with movers tarps and removed to the truck or van. At the new location all of the items are unloaded into the new home or apartment.
But there are other considerations when a company is moving you. If you are using a clapham removals and are only going a short distance you may be able to move many of the smaller items yourself. If you are making a move to another part of the city or into a borough that is further north then you may have to hire a removals company to help you with your move.
Not all moves are straightforward. For example you may be living in temporary housing and you have stored many of your household goods in a self storage unit. Then not only would you have to have a removals company stop at your present location but also make a stop at the self storage unit also.
So the clapham removals company may have to add the additional services of an extra delivery or pick up. Generally a mover will allow one free pick up and one free delivery which are included within your rates that you pay for the move. If that mover has to make additional stops to pick up your belongings then he may charge extra for this service. What the charges will be depend the distance they have to go to get to the goods and the weight of the goods. This charge would apply if they have to make a stop at a storage facility along their route to pick up some of your goods.
If you have a small amount of goods at the current location, you may be able to use a van instead of a large moving truck. If this is the case you may be better off having two separate pickups on two separate days. One pick up would be at you home on one day and the other would be a subsequent day after you have put away the household goods from the first pick up and delivery.
You would need to get a price from the removals company to see if this was feasible. But logically you do not need the stored goods immediately as they are stored. So you could get everything put away and in place before you had the van pick up the boxed goods at the self storage. This may be more feasible than making a moving van stop at one location, then make their way to your storage facility where they have to await access and then get those goods loaded and then on their way again. This may be cheaper especially if the storage unit is not located enroute from your current location to your new location.
