Pantomimes, musicals, plays and other nightly performances also take place during this period in addition to the stunning Orchard Road Floats Parade. Giant stages set up next to the Paragon, Ngee Ann City, Tong Building and Tangs Plaza hold a majority of the performances while December 25th sees a grand concert on Orchard road, which is typically closed off for the street side Christmas carnival. Complete with line dancers, gift donating charity events and massive floats parked along the streets the street fair is an event for the whole family as choirs are seen carolling in street corners next to human statues and stilt walkers who tower over the crowd.
