The great American dream of having your own business can be applied worldwide. 3) Kind of products: What are the products that the company is selling? Is it something that has a unique USP, for example: only XYZ Company makes this product at a low price and good quality? This will help you leverage the marketability of the product to find new leads.
4) Product reach: Are the products sold only in the domestic market or does the company have a worldwide presence. You can choose a domestic or international company based on your preference but a company that has a global reach can help you create a global distributor network with the right marketing skills.
5) Sign-up fee: All companies have a sign-up fee if you want to become a distributor. The sign-up fee includes training materials, brochures, product catalogues and other things that will help you get started. Sign-up fees are broken down into different categories, some companies charge a low fee if you're a new entrant in the MLM business and just want to explore the opportunities before taking a life changing decision and a high fee for serious entrepreneurs, who have the right strategies and have already experienced good financial gains through other internet marketing businesses.
6) Compensation plan: This is the most important aspect of any MLM business. Many people will tell you that compensation plans aren't really important but they actually are, do you want a plan that allows you to make money through a few hundred leads or some thousand? And the last secret is "Mentoring, Mentoring, Mentoring". Be sure you get the training but most importantly, GET A MENTOR! A mentor who believes in you, one who you can be accountable to and is real flesh and blood. This is usually the one area that is the difference between failure and success. It may not be in the MLM business you choose, but it must be in marketing, especially Internet Marketing. This opens up the World to you as you potential customer.
Once you have found the answers to these questions, you will be able to narrow down your choices to a few good companies that offer what you really need. But in order to be truly successful in the MLM business, you must train yourself really well.
