Cheap Pandora Beads: Avoiding Online Scams

Every once now and then a new trend in designer jewelry and fashion accessories catches

on big and sweeps the entire globe and it sure seems like the hot new trend in Pandora charm jewelry is doing just that. People everywhere are talking about it and discovering how fun and exciting it is to create there own necklace and bracelet design ensembles. And Pandora even has matching rings and ear rings too!

As it is with so many other successful designer products though success does breed imitation in the form of copycats and fraudsters who are looking to make a fast buck. Unscrupulous con artists who are looking to rip off Pandora jewelry lovers, and they're doing it today with more than just knockoffs. So you have to be extra alert for con games other than just the typical fakes, like you do with other designer products.

As a prime example, one of the more all too common scams that's being run online takes advantage of people shopping for retired Pandora beads. These are the designs have been taken out of regular production at their Amsterdam facility and because of their rarity, and the demand can fetch prices as high as 10 times their original cost. Retired Pandora beads are a very hot item today. So what's the scam then?

It's simple yet all too effective, and that is con artists who will advertise beads for sale online that they claim are retired but really are still in full production. Of course they charge a higher price for them as well. Shoppers are so anxious to snap up a good deal that they fail to take the time to check to see if what they're buying is an actual retired bead and only later realize they've been ripped off.

Still one more thing yet worth knowing about retired Pandora jewelry and beads, is that the company occasionally retires a piece in one country but still keeps the in full production in others. So a bead may be retired in perhaps Canada yet still be available as a regular piece in the US, and the UK. So here again, it's important that you take the time to do a little research before you snap at what appears to be a hot deal.

Then for sure there's always going to be knockoff artists out there on the Internet selling their cheap junk as the legitimate article, and Pandora charms and jewelry is no different in this respect. Of course knock-offs look great in the pictures but once you get it in your hand you'll realize you've been had. So it's worth knowing here that authorized Pandora dealers never sell on eBay, and also be wary of prices that seem just too darn good to be true.
