The state of the art T3 has been built at a whopping cost of nearly US $ 3 billion and is going to redefine air travel to India. The terminal is Superjumbo compatible and the first A380 (Emirates) is schedule to land here on the 15th July.
The world class Delhi Metro Rail meandering through the city, overhead and underground, has been there for a long time making the lives of the city's population easier by offering quick connection to far flung places. The work on the Delhi Airport Metro Express Link that will connect the New Delhi Metro Station to the Airport is fast nearing completion and the project is schedule to get over in September. Built on the lines of London's Heathrow Express, the Metro's airport connection will be a state of the art infrastructure which will benefit the passengers by reducing the travel time between the airport and the city's centre to merely 20 minutes. The project is being privately developed and is estimated to cost the exchequer a whopping US $ 589 million approximately as per the media sources.
