Casper is one of the fascinating cities of Wyoming which offers some of the most exotic views
. This is the second largest city of Wyoming State, United States. It enjoys the status of being the county seat of Natrona County. According to the census of 2000, it has the population of about 49,644. This refreshing and rejuvenating city is situated in east-central part of the state around the foot of Casper Mountain and towards the Laramie Mountain Range from the north end.This beautiful city is situated amidst the beautiful mountainous views and is surrounded by Mills, Bar Nunn and Evansville towns. Interstate 25 highway approaches this marvelous city from the east and north making it one of the most important road for transportation.
The city was built on the banks of the Platte River in the year 1888. Since it was one of the important points of transportation, the community and settlement started growing around the area. The name of the town drawn was misspelled by the clerk who filed the plan of the city after Fort Caspar.
Soon after the fort was closed, the town of Casper founded itself quite properly and it started developing as a major point for stoppage during the development of Wyoming Central Railway.

Fort Caspar Museum & Historic Site is one of the most noticeable historically significant sites of the city. The Beartrap Summer Festival is presented by the Natrona County Road, Bridge & Parks Department along with Clear Channel Radio. It takes place during the third weekend of the month of July. This is the location where a range of local and national level bluegrass bands perform their talents.
