Card making is a good alternative to gift sets. Not only is this activity fun, it doesn't cost us a lot since the materials we need are mostly readily available at home. With card making, you already have an answer to your question, "How can I stretch my budget so that everyone will receive something?"
So set aside all the gift sets that you have on your list and start gathering materials like a pair of scissors, papers, colored pens, beads, dried flowers, anything that you think you can use. Think of the personality of the person you are giving your card to and start the process of card making.
You can even go around the neighborhood and give each one a greeting card if you made a handful of those. Everyone loves receiving Christmas cards. Those small notes with heartfelt greetings will surely keep our friends and families closer to our hearts during the Yuletide.
The time and effort that you have exerted will surely put a smile on the face of the person you are giving it to, it just goes a long way. It's the small act of kindness that matters.
