Captivating Crepe Sarees: A Glamorous Style Statement

Amongst the two varieties of crepe, thin crepe is used for manufacturing or creating

Indian Clothing such as Indian Designer Sarees, Indian Designer Salwar Kameez, Indian Designer Anarkali, Indian Designer Churidar Kameez, Designer Lehenga Choli, etc. Crepe is basically a variety of the silk fabric and is woven with silk yarns, hence the natural inherent luster of the fabric. Unlike hard crepe, thin crepe is widely used for making clothes or Designer outfits.

Thin crepe is also known as soft crepe or crepe de Chine, and has evolved as a popular choice of fabric for Indian Designer Sarees. The key reason is, of course, its glossy texture and its silk-like sheen that makes it ideal for a Party Wear Saree or Wedding Wear Saree. The luster of pure silk Sarees can be found to a large extent in crepe sarees. It may lack the magnificence or the regal touch of pure silks, but it definitely is glossy and makes quite a glamorous style statement. The other reason why crepe is suitable for Indian Sarees is that it drapes wonderfully. Since it is a soft and flowy fabric, it becomes quite convenient to make pleats or drape a Designer Crepe Saree in any way as one prefers. It is also because of its softness that it is one of the most comfortable fabrics to wear and carry off. The only problem with crepe Designer Sarees is that due to its extreme smoothness, it tends to slip a lot. Hence, draping a crepe Designer Saree would mean pinning it up securely. Due to the resplendence and luster of crepe, Designer Crepe Sarees are almost never embroidered throughout. It is the sheen of a crepe Designer Saree that is worth showing off rather than camouflaging it beneath heavy embroidery. They, usually, feature intricately embroidered borders coupled with embroidered buttis or motifs throughout the Saree.
