The Chinese from BYD wants to fight with French from Renault on the electric vehicle market and the battlefield will be the European market
. They announced the debut of E6 on the European market in 2011.Chinese from BYD Auto have laid eyes on Leadership in electric vehicles. They will be the first to bring an electric car on sale in Europe market before the French from Renault. Thus, the promise from BYD is to launch a 100% electric vehicle on market in Europe during 2011, with at least one year before French from Renault.
The first electric vehicle made by BYD will appear on the market in Europe and is called E6, model shown at Geneva Motor Show. The new E6 has a length of 4.5 meters and offers a level of interior space similar to Volkswagen's Golf Plus and SEAT Altea L. The model will be priced around $ 42,000, but customers will be advantaged that vehicle is power duty-free and does not consume fuel.
The E6 model has a mass of 2295 kg and is powered by a 101 hp electric motor. Acceleration from 0-100 km / h is accomplished in 14 seconds and top speed is 140 km / h. Chinese from BYD announce a range of 320 km for the new E6. Most of the BYD have developed a special system for fast loading, which uses a three-phase station. This system can achieve 50% charge in just 10 minutes.
