FACT: Copywriters are supposed to put money into your bank account. FACT: Thieves rob you. I know on the surface sounds like something crazy is about to happen in this article and you're right. The bottom line is that a copywriter brings in money into your account through slam dunk promotions and campaigns. If you've been in business any amount of time than you'll know your number, at least you SHOULD KNOW your numbers. If you don't then you need to read my post: Track It Like A Hawk Onwards...... Compare your data from previous promotions and campaigns to your new, copy written campaign. Did your results increase or did it plunge or did it stay the same? These are the only three pieces of information you need from your copywritten campaign. I'll say it again...

Did your results INCREASE Did your results DECREASE Did your results STAY THE SAME

What happens when you find that your results increased? Simple, you run another test. You try and beat the newly crowned "control". And you do this because the old adage is that you'll never get a 100% conversion rate. So "Always Be Testing" What happens when you find that your results decreased? First, get angry! You've just blown your hard earned money, effort and time on someone who didn't do squat for your business and in fact reduced sales. None, the less. What you've got on your hands, believe it or not is actually useful. Think of it this way. NOW... you know what doesn't work and you'll never do it again. Next, create another control try to beat your original one. What happens when you find that your results stayed the same? Take this discovery just like how you took it if results when down. Hey you spent money, time and effort on this too. So you should be getting at least some of your investment in your promotions back, and if you don't then, it's similar to a loss. Remember though... You're not supposed to go "oooohh I love this ad, it LOOKS good." And then leave it at that. If you're green the only thing that matters is that your ads look "good". Which is one of the most dangerous things that can happen, a "good looking" ad costs you money. That's all I wanted to remind you off today. A truth has been spoken today.
