I have worked for a local dentist in the city for six years now and have grown to love oral health and dentistry so much
. It started when I was in high school, I found myself obsessing over my oral health and the dental health of my family. When I was finally a senior in high school I was able to do an internship with a local dentist where I would get to leave the high school and do a work-study program and go assistant a local dentist for a few hours every day and learn about dentistry. It was then that I decided that I wanted to make a career out of dental assisting and teaching people how to care for their overall dental health.
Once I graduated I was able to obtain my first real job as an assistant to a local dentist and from there my love for dental and oral health grew. Over the years I have learned a lot about dentistry and dental health and have loved educating people on their oral health. A few years into my dental career, the dentist that I was employed with was offered a position to be an Orem city dentist. He asked me accompany to be his assistant when he went to be an Orem city dentist and practice with a group of other dentists.
There are many great local dentists in the city of Orem that you can choose from, make sure to choose a dentist in your city that will spend time with you, care for you, educate you and answer all of your dental health questions. It is important that you understand your oral health and practice good oral hygiene and teach your children at an early age to practice good oral care. There are many dental procedures that at one time or another you may need and you want a dentist that will give you all of your best dental options and that will educate you in oral health.
Being a dental assistant, I have learned that you need to have an excellent relationship with your dental patients. A lot of them are very apprehensive about dentistry and going to the dentist in the first place so I learned how to take care of them and make them feel at ease. Many patients are more comfortable asking their dental assistant questions then their dentist because they feel less intimidated by them, so I always made sure that I was educated and knew the correct answers and answer them in the same manner that the dentist would answer them and take care of them. It was very important for me to teach them that their dental health really does affect your overall health.
I would also advise patients to do their own dental research. If you go into the dentist and they recommend that you have something done, do your oral and dental research and return for a consultation from your dentist and ask questions about your dental health. Your dentist should be happy to answer any and all of your questions and take the time to make sure you understand everything before the dentist starts the procedure. Make sure to read all of the dental consent forms your dentist gives you and understand them before you have anything done by your dentist. Your dental health is important so don't put it off.
Believe it or not, your oral health is very important and does in fact affect your overall health. Take good care of health by taking good care of your teeth and practice at making brushing and flossing your teeth twice a day a part of your daily dental routine.
