Book A Holiday On The Isle Of Mull

The Isle of Mull is a beautiful Hebridean island just off the West Coast of Scotland

. Fantastic scenery, white sandy beaches, dramatic mountains, villages steeped in history, spectacular coastal cliffs and an abundance of wildlife make this an exceptional holiday destination. The Isle of Mull is deservedly well known as a fantastic place to spend a holiday, with superb walking, fishing and outdoor pursuits amid spectacular scenery. There is abundant wildlife and many attractions to visit during your stay. Mull is the fourth largest Scottish island and has an area of 338 square miles.

Self catering on Mull is a great way to spend a week or two. Experience life on a beautiful Scottish Island and enjoy the slower pace of life and ever changing weather and scenery. Whether it's a quiet break with your partner or a family holiday on Mull, there is plenty to see and do. Walks, beach combing, swimming, sight seeing, bird watching or boat trips during the day followed by a theatre trip, restaurant meal or traditional music event in the evening.

The island is home to over 250 different bird species including the White Tailed Sea Eagle, which was reintroduced in the nearby Isle of Rum and migrated to Mull, where they now have a stronghold. Minke Whales, porpoises and dolphins are among the sea life that can be seen on boat tours from Mull.

Boat trips are available to take you to the Treshnish isles during the summer where you can get close to nesting birds, Puffin, Shag, Kittiwake, Guillemot and Razorbill. The tidal lochs are very attractive to many waders and birds of passage which stop to feed whilst en-route to their summer and winter feeding grounds. Whooper Swan, Bar-tailed Godwit, Greenshank, Redshank, Snipe and Whimbrel are just a few.

Today Mull and its neighbouring islands have a population of nearly 3000. Farming, fishing and forestry used to be the economic mainstays of the island, but increasingly today, tourism is responsible for much of the island economy. Fish farming is also very important for both fin-fish and shellfish.

So, dont hesitate to book a weeks accommodation on this fantastic island and get away from it all.
