, it would become so popular, that eventually different bear species would be used to create other plush bears. The polar bear, the American black bear, and the panda bear, were some of the earliest bears used as models for stuffed bears. It was only a matter of time, before different sizes of stuffed bears were manufactured - big plush bears happen to be one of them.Big plush bears are popular for a number of reasons: their soft and plush bodies make them ideal cuddly companions; they are more than just a plush toy they are a lifelong friend and confidante; they have semi-human attributes which makes them especially ideal for the young; they act as one very large security blanket. Bears have been featured in legends and folklore around the world and have played a very important role in some cultures. It's always fascinating to learn about where things began, and bears are no exception.
