Everyone has heard horror stories about not having the right toys for travel and
being cooped up in a vehicle for hours and hours on some long quest in search of a family vacation. Cranky kids are very difficult to deal with, and most of it is because they have a short attention span. It doesnt take long before they start moaning a groaning about everything. So if you always seem to bring along the wrong toys for travel, what are the right ones?What you need is a kit for that trip that has good, quality toys in it that will be able to keep kids entertained for hours. These kits can include everything from sticker books, puzzle books and joke books to trivia cards, pocket electronic games and even a simple deck of cards. Toys for travel shouldnt be the only things you bring, of course. For better or for worse, some of the best things to keep kids entertained are things like crackers, fruit, vegetable sticks and other snacks. Here is a tip for those snacks, though. In order to keep less hyper kids in the car, choose snacks that are low in sugar. For example, choose flavored water in bottles for them instead of canned soda.
Dont forget to pack music for them, whether it is on CD format or an mp3 player that has their favorite tunes on it. You can bring songs they like and also some songs that everyone likes so that you can all sing along together during the trip. One thing that you need to pack too for entertainment is toys for travel that are outdoor toys those that are easy to bring along such as Frisbees, a couple of gloves and baseballs, and even a medium sized rubber ball. This is just in case the kids just are bursting to release some of their energy; you can pull over at a rest area for them to run around and go ahead and release those wiggles and giggles.
