It is the end of another year and Vogue UK has revealed their latest list of best dressed personalities
. In 2010, perhaps most memorable (in terms of well dressed people) was one Kate Middleton, this might of course be due to the fact that her engagement to Prince William is of so recent a date, but she has become somewhat of a sensation and celebrity in her own right.
Perhaps justifiably, in light of the fact that she only gained prominence late in the year and mostly in fashion online websites, whereas everyone on the list was well known in fashion circles before the year even began, Kate Middleton has been omitted from this list.
In the 2010 edition of Vogues fashion online Best Dressed List, number one is Alexa Chung, an English model and TV show presenter who was on the cover of Vogue UK in March 2010 wearing Ralph Lauren. She is known for regularly wearing high fashion that is currently in style with her own unique geek chic.
Next is Angelina Jolie, no surprise here as the Academy Award winning actress and UN goodwill ambassador has evolved into a fashion online icon and is regularly spotted at all the trendy fashion events.
At number three is Carey Mulligan, an English actress with roles in Pride & Prejudice, Brothers, Never Let Me Go and Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps among others. She is known for wearing prominent fashion labels but does so with a panache that makes them distinctive.
Next up is Edie Campbell, with whom it is often difficult to identify the source of her clothes but manages to pull of looks that are often trendier than women dressed in high fashion.
At number five is Elisa Sednaoui, a model that sticks to the classic and is often seen wearing vintage Levis, Converse or black tank tops but manages to look chic and fashionable.
Emma Watson with her fresh new look has become much involved in fashion online circles this past year and has been spotted wearing Prada, Fendi, Calvin Klein, D&G, BCBG MaxAzaria, MiuMiu, Louis Vuitton as well as many other brands but has evolved to become elegant and chic.
Danish Model Freja Beha Erichsen pops in at number seven and is a well known in fashion online model having made appearances on the runway for many prominent brands.
Josephine de La Baume comes in at number eight and the French actress and singer is known for her cutting edge style and is currently dating DJ and music producer Mark Ronson.
Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, daughter of the current editor in chief of French Vogue is number nine. The face of the ad campaign for the Restoration of the Monarchy brand, she is known to wear simple clothing such as LBDs or skater skirts with a peerless style.
Kate Moss comes in at number ten, the well known English model has appeared on countless magazine covers and despite her troubled past remains a staple at fashion online forums and all the popular events even today.
Kate Winslet, Keira Knightley, Lady Gaga, Lara Stone, Michelle Obama, Michelle Williams, Olivia Palermo, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Samantha Cameron and Victoria Beckham complete this fashion online list.
