There is no one place that has the Best Bank Rates on a term investment for ever one of them or even just two in most cases.

A good example of this is from the Costa Mesa Pacific Mercantile Bank. They are currently offering a 1 year CD that is earning an APY of 1.31%. This is one of the best rates at this term for March 2011. Unfortunately the rest of their terms have a bit to be desired. Their 18 month to 5 year CDs all earn an APY of 1.48%. These CDs do require a minimum deposit of $10,000 and were posted on March 8, 2011.

Another great example is from Sanibel Captiva Community Bank in Florida. They have recently reduced their 3 month CD rate, but it is still amongst the highest. It is earning an APY of 0.60%. The 6 month along with the 9, 12, 14 and 18 month CDs are earning an APY of 1.00%. The 2 year CD is only earning an APY of 1.50%. These CDs require a minimum deposit of $1,000 and were posted on March 9, 2011.

The only place that has all around good CD rates at this time is OneWest Bank out of Pasadena California. They are offering a 3 month CD that is earning an APY of 0.70%. The 6 month CD is earning an APY of 1.05%. The 1 year CD is earning an APY of 1.25%. The 18 month CD is earning an APY of 1.40%. The 2 year CD is earning an APY of 1.55%. The 3 year CD is earning an APY of 2.00%. The 4 year CD is earning an APY of 2.50% and the 5 year CD is earning an APY of 2.60%. These require a minimum deposit of $1,000 and were posted on March 7, 2011.

To find the best CD rates you must search many different financial institutions in order to obtain the best rate for each term. This has become a trend in the financial sector of the business world.

The trend that is currently shown in the financial world is not to offer the best CD rates, but to offer just one good CD rate. Before investing make sure you do your research so you can obtain the best rates for the desired term you wish to invest in.
