This involves such a kind of treatment process in which the alloying constituents are taken in the solution form, and their form is retained by means of rapid quenching. Subsequent treatment is then given out at low temperatures. The type of metal and the furnace load would decide the time at temperature. Enough time must be given in case of taking the alloys into their solution form. The solution treatment is crucial in making this process a success. The furnace temperature and the special temperature should be controlled in a range of 5C for most of the alloys.
Quenching is another very crucial process, which is involved, in this sort of metal treatment. The final process of treating metals to heat would be age hardening, which is achieved either by natural means or by artificial means.
