It is hard to detect this cancer on a mammogram because it does not form a distinct lump. The sign of invasive lobular carcinoma are;
Feeling pain in nipples or breasts
Swelling in breast
Changes in nipples or breast skin like redness, or thickness
Experiencing a fluid coming out of nipples
Observing dimpling or irritation on breasts
Development of lump in armpit
These are considered as possible symptoms for invasive lobular carcinoma. If you find any of these symptoms then dont wait for any other sign to appear instead immediately contact your doctor.
Lobular Carcinoma In Situ
It is also a type of cancer started in lobules but ii is different in the sense that it remains in the beginning where it started first. However any type of breast cancer that is non invasive can become invasive and spread to other parts as well if not treated in time.
This cancer as started in lobules remains within the walls of them. It is not taken as a type of breast cancer but once it develops it can cause tumor in breast. Women with this cancer are at higher risk of breast cancer development in future. It does not cause any evident symptoms like a lump appearance or any other breast cancer related symptoms which makes its detection difficult.
Breast cancer of any type has been doing only harm to women. Being diagnosed with breast cancer does not mean end of life but if you are diagnosed with this disease earlier you have plenty of treatment options those can prove beginning of a new life for you.
As you are a woman by gender you are at increased risk of breast cancer. Breast cancer develops more quickly in women because of the breast structure in them that keeps on changing throughout their life.
