Written by Texas Republican Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, American Heroines avoids partisanship. She writes admiring portraits of Geraldine Ferraro and Madeline Albright as well as Condoleezza Rice and Elizabeth Dole, all in a lively and colloquial writing style.
