American Dad! Threat Levels - Recap

On the second episode of American Dad (not as funny as the first one I must say, but still consistently hilarious), the Smith family is faced with imminent death as Stan brings home a bio-hazard virus from work instead of his soup thermos. The family is given 24 hours to live, so they spend it watching the first season of 24 with some extra minute to say goodbye to each other (hehehe). Roger seems to be especially happy about the Smith family dying, as he will have the place for himself. He doesn't even bother to hide it

But guess what, the virus was nota threat after all but as a result Francine wants a career in real estate! Stan is sure this is only a hobbit and gives his full support, until lo and behold, Francine start making more money than him! Stan feels completely emasculated (encouraged by his co-workers literal emasculation) and tries to sabotage his wife's work.

In the meantime, Hayley uses one of her mom's houses as a shelter for the homeless, annoying Steve who planned to use it as the scenario for a "wild girls" video thus becoming a millionaire (so simple). Stanhas an idea on how to make moneyusing bothhis children's idea: make a hobo fight ring on the house.

Soall goes well for a while. Francine makes money (with Roger as her secretary mind you) and Stan makes even more with his fights until Hayley convinces the homeless to unionize, leaving Stan to fight with the only remaining bum willing to do so. The guy is huge and poor Stan is about to lose when Francine bursts in trying to stop the fight. The audience laughs at the emasculated Stan, which makes him hit the bum with what's left of his strength and by a feather touch the bum falls and Stan wins. How? Hayley and Steve hired an actor to play the bum and throw the fight, betting on their dad and making some money.

At this point Francine explains to Stan that they are a team, and the success of one is the success of the other. He seems to understand and like it but we know better. On the next scene, thanks to Alan Greenspan's interest rate Francine is out of work as a real estate agent, and Stan give the order to release Alan Greenspan's dog that was held hostage

Netflix is finally streaming the show, you can watch the entire new season.
