All About Rvs: Buyers Guide

If you are a new recreational vehicle (RV) owner or would like to own one

, it is wise to make some effort in getting to know the differences between the many types of RVs available in the market. There are a lot of RV products online out there and finding the right one for your needs can be a little tricky.

Besides deciding on what type of RV you are going to buy, you must also consider the availability of RV parts and accessories for that particular model. Make sure you have a reliable RV parts supplier and can get RV emergency accessories online as well. It would also be a huge plus if you already know where you can get RV appliances for sale so you can immediately make your chosen RV ready for the trip.

Now, let us get into the nitty-gritty of the RV world. As mentioned, there are many types of RVs and it might be a bit difficult to make recommendations since buyers choices will definitely vary based on personal preferences, requirements, and budget. There are three basic categories of RVs. They are: Motorhomes, Travel Trailers, and Truck Campers.

Motorhomes are the types of RV that make up your vehicle living quarters. They are divided into different classes namely: Class A, B, and C. Class A Motorhomes are the largest and are also the typical design associated with the term RV. They are large and can be made luxurious, and they are most often associated with stars and athletes that travel city to city. All About Rvs: Buyers Guide

Class Bs are the smallest and are built on a van chassis. Often, these are too small to live in over long periods of time. Class Cs are also built on a van chassis, however, they are distinguished by an extended section over the cab, which usually contains an extra bed.

Travel Trailers, or also known as towables, include Travel Trailers (large trailers towed completely behind the tow vehicle), and Fifth Wheels (trailers that have a gooseneck front section that extends over the bed of the pick-up truck, usually, tow vehicle). Travel trailers are usually less expensive, but Fifth Wheels tend to have more living space and are easier to tow.

Truck Campers are living quarters that sit in the back of a pick up truck. They are constructed to provide temporary living quarters for recreational camping or travel use. Truck campers are popular for back road journeys, accessing remote locations and family recreational camping.

So these are the basic types of RVs on the market. This gives you an idea of what to expect when you go out to see a dealer and discuss a certain model. How does one decide which RV to buy? Based on these types, select the one which you think covers most of the features you need for your travel and living style. Read and research more about it, visit a dealer, and ask questions to owners. You will develop preferences and eventually end up with a wise decision. Good luck in your search!
