After the Spill - Whats Next for the Worlds Oil & Petroleum Firms

Looking at BP's spill in the Gulf on the face of it looks like just another natural disateur, however, looking at it in more depth it has destroyed many families income streams and small businesses revenue. This is quite clearlyone of the largestenvironmental issues of our age.

Aside from this, President Obama thinks by passing BP off as 'British Petroleum' that the buck will ultimatly stop in the UK's hands. BP was bought out by a number of shareholders many years ago and is now incorporated under the name of BP and so is no longer the responsibility of the United Kingdom.

As this has been such a major news story over the past few weeks i thought it would be a brilliant time to have a look at some other Petroleum firms.

Corporations such as Armaco, Qatar Petroleum, LUKOil, Shell, Repsol,Locstein Petroleum, PetroChina, Gulf Petroleum have all subsiquently been kept out of the spotlight and although two of the names listed above are not involved in therefining ofthese products they still have the responsibiity of helping when somethinggoes wrong. These firms earnincredibly large amount of moneyon a year on year basis by taking risks and yet nobody is jumping up and down about the affects they are all having on every single on of us.

Whilst all of the firms seem to have invested billions of dollars into 'Green' energy, the whole thing is a complete longshot and is all one big marketing assult. In BP's case it has backfired badly after just annoucing there massive investments into new technology. No more than 4 weeks after this we are subject to a spill and online rumors that they are going into a 'Partnership' with The Locstein Group's subsiduary Locstein Petroleum. Some of these rumors are also stating that they are purchasing the whole operation.

BP and all these other firms should PAY for the damage they have caused.... Period.
