The only thing you must consider is the initial investment of obtaining a custom fitting teeth mold done at the dentist. This baby will run about about 100 or so dollars, but is going to be worth your money. Since you put the gel into the mold and press firmly onto your teeth and let it sit until the time is up then rinse out your mouth. I am confident you can realize how amazing it's to have a mold that will cover the entire surface area of your teeth. Many dentists will give you the suggestion of laser treatments for your teeth on top of your molds. This can be a very cheap option if they offer you a package deal. This is a great option if you do have the cash as you will get your teeth instantly white and have the mold so that you can use the teeth whitening gel's as a way to keep them white. Usually you won't need to use the gel's as often either which will save you money so this is a good scenario.

A good alternative to the custom fitted mold is getting a mouth guard, for usually less than a dollar at most stores. Then boil the mouth guard, once it it nice and hot you will want to put it in your mouth and bite down on it. Make sure it isn't too hot, you don't want to hurt yourself. After a couple of boilings it should be ready, all for less than a dollar. These will work as whitening gel trays, however, if you are wanting the most out of your teeth whitening gels there's no substitution for going to your dentist for a custom tray.

Teeth whitening gels do get the job done for considerably cheaper than seeing your dentist every time. It will not be as fast of results as going to the dentist but it will get there eventually if you use it as directed. Since for most people money is the issue and not taking 10 minutes a day I believe that most people will be more interested in this process of teeth whitening.
