A Stress Free Holiday In 3 Easy Steps

A Stress Free Holiday In 3 Easy Steps

For many going on holiday can be a very stressful experience

. This is kind of ironic as going on a holiday is supposed to be relaxing. The main reason why so many people are at their wits end is usually down to a lack of planning, preparation and leaving things to the last minute. With just a few simple changes in how you organise your holiday you can make your next holiday a relatively stress free and enjoyable one.

Children

Going on holiday is a family affair however, for many parents the holiday can turn into a nightmare dealing with and servicing the demands of the kids. It is important to remember that as a parent you have a life too and that the family should not revolve around the kids. The children are a part of the family not the centre of it. Therefore, before you go on holiday make it crystal clear with the kids that mum and dad want to relax too. This will mean some sort of negotiation and compromise that can work along the lines of taking the kids to the zoo in the morning but, the afternoon is for relaxing on the beach with a nice refreshing fruit cocktail.

Sunscreen

You finally arrive at your holiday destination after a long flight and you head down to the beach to catch a few rays. The sun is hot however, you realise you forgot to pack the sunscreen oil, ouch! If you and the family are going to a hot country make sure you take plenty of sunscreen and make sure the protection is strong enough. The minimum protection is SPF 15 but if you are heading to the Asia you will need sunscreen with at least 25 to 30 SPF.

Travel and Medical Insurance

Travel insurance is one of the most common and important things people forget to organise when they go on holiday. They only realise they need it when they end up in a foreign hospital with a huge medical bill to treat their broken leg. As well as your medical costs insurance can protect you from losing your luggage and valuables. It can also cover you if your flight or holiday is cancelled. There are many online and comparison websites to check what is available. Compare the best deals and only get cover on things that are relevant to your situation. Usually the earlier you book the cheaper it will be.
