A closer look at the Worlds Largest Bird with Aruba Ostrich Adventures

Among many things, youll be able to find out whether burying their heads in the sand is a myth or not with these flightless birds. Aruba is a great adoptive area for ostriches, which originated from Africa, because of the vast landscape and terrain. The Aruba Ostrich Adventures is a great way to get a deeper perspective on the species with their 80 or so numbered flock along with the ostrichs cousins, the emus. Aside from a guided tour on the farm, guests of Aruba Ostrich Adventures can also partake in an African eating spree at the Savanna Lodge Bar and Restaurant or shop at their African Art Shop. The tour is done every half an hour daily which gives guests a chance to interact with these birds from the incubator, to the hatchery, the pen, then down to the rugged terrain which is their final habitat. The tour costs about $12 for adults and $6 for kids.

Discovering Nature with Arikok National Park Aruba

Although Aruba is mainly famous for its beaches, there is another reason in the scientific world which makes Aruba so popular. Aruba as an island was formed through different rock formations from quartz, lava and limestone. The combination of these produced some of the most fertile lands which are ideal for different species. The Arikok National Park stands in the middle of these three stone formations, and is home to many plant and wildlife species from birds, snakes, trees to even the early developments of the Amerindians who settled in this island. Arikok National Park also explains that the rock formation also resulted into the different gold deposits which Aruba is so famous for. The park is a great way to indulge oneself in the beauty of nature while there are many tours which help you understand the significance of the park. Scientist or not, you really can get lost in the natural abundance of the place. A Dynamic Info To Aruba Holidays With Pointers On Resorts Along With Spas

Splashing on Arubas Natural PoolA Dynamic Info To Aruba Holidays With Pointers On Resorts Along With Spas

Aside from its popular beaches, there are still many hidden water resources in Aruba that need to be rediscovered while vacationing there. One such place is Cura di Tortuga, or what locals simply refer to as the Natural Pool. Tourists will have to go somewhat down and dirty, going to the islands rugged terrains before discovering the pool. To get there, one can either go hiking with a group or use a 4x4 vehicle such as an ATV through a tourist guide, the tourist department or a private company, or one can also opt to go via horseback which was what many Arubans did in the old days. The spot is found in Oranjestad, and is so secluded that no car can ever pass through going to it. One of the most fun activities is to dive from the rock cliffs surrounding the natural pool into its tranquil waters. Adventurers looking for a different side of Aruba will surely find it in this off the beaten path treasure.

Arubas Historic Gold Mills

Originally, before becoming a tourist destination, Aruba was famous for being a gold town with adventurers and settlers in the 1500s calling it the land rich with Oro Ruba or red gold. Many nations tried to conquer this island just for the purpose. Now called Aruba, the islands origins can still be seen through the gold mill ruins that still make money by being a popular destination for tourists and adventurers. The first gold mill is the Bushiribana Gold Mill which is found at the Northern part of Aruba where once, 3 million pounds of gold was churned out from 1824 until the supply depleted but still as is, Bushiribana is a great place to be in especially since its found beside the Aruban beachfront. Theres also the Balashi Gold Mill which is found on the islands Spanish Lagoon. Balashi was part of the gold mining industry and traces of their popularity are clearly seen with the remaining gold smelters in this historic structure.
