USA: The American summer can be a great time to travel, but we think October is better! The West Coast of the USA typically has a late summer season, so the weather is still great in Southern California, and over on the East Coast you will get the chance to experience an American fall and all of it's wonder. CHINA: China can be excessively hot in the summer, but come October the weather is perfect. If you really enjoy the crowds and local festivals, China's National Day and Moon Festival are not to be missed. China's National Day is celebrated on the 1st of October, and if you want to see some fireworks that will blow your mind you don't want to miss this display! The Moon festival will also be celebrated in October this year. The Moon festival is always celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th lunar moon, which happens to be the 3rd of October this year. The Chinese usually celebrate the Moon festival with family, and eat moon cakes and sing songs when the moon rises. After this busy long weekend in early October the crowds will die down, the transport will become cheaper, and the weather is perfect for sightseeing.
