I am so excited about having received eight car insurance quotes the other day that I just had to tell you about it. I was expecting to get only one online car insurance quote and instead I got eight! The eight quotes were matched by phone calls from the individual insurance companies concerned because, as you probably know, the online quotes are just estimates and the details need to be clarified in a follow up. I had no idea that so many insurance companies existed let alone that I would get so many quotes back. Not since my days as a beauty queen have I been so popular; my phone was ringing off the hook.
All this on top of how easy it was to get the quotes in the first place. Needless to say, I haven't even recovered from the shock yet. I thought that I would have to schlep around town to a bunch of insurance companies, leastways, that's what my mama told me I would have to do. Maybe that was how they got insurance when she was young but nowadays you can do it online. I'll admit that I was none the wiser until I complained to my girlfriend about not having the time to go visiting insurance companies, and she told me I could go get an online car insurance quote. At first I didn't think it would make any difference whether I got the insurance online or visited the insurance companies personally but when my girlfriend mentioned the extra shopping time, I was convinced. She said that I would only have to visit one insurance website and type in my details once to get a bunch of quotes, and that I could go shopping in the time it would save me by doing this. It was at this particular point that I remembered a piece of mama's advice about insurance, advice that wasn't out of date, for once. Mama said a person should always get three quotes to choose from, and as you can see, I got eight!
I feel I should tell you, since I'm being so candid with you and all, that I wasn't totally convinced that this online car insurance quote lark was all it was cut out to be, but the first phone call I got convinced me. The man on the other end of the line was so nice, and helpful, too. I was impressed that he took the time to give a proper answer to all my questions, and didn't brush me off like most men who want me to keep my lips zipped and behave like arm candy all the time.
