Xl Center Tickets - Uconn's Shot For Duel Championships
UConn is one of the college league's most well-known athletic teams, so to see them play live is for many people a dream come true. This season, check out both the men and women's basketball teams when they host a plethora of teams in their XL Center, like St. Johns, Cincinnati and DePaul during the early 2010 games. XL Center tickets are the only way you're going to be able to check out these games live, go online and check out a full calendar of events happening at the Hartford, Conn. venue.
The UConn Huskies are off to a great start this year, ranking in the Top 20 as they beat off Ivy League teams like Harvard. Thanks to the top scoring 6-foot-4 Jerome Dyson, who has shot at least 20 points each game since the season starter, the team has come away with some high averages. They are up against the Blue Demons, who lost forward/center Mac Koshwal during December when doctors confirmed an injury in his left foot. The absence, however, hasn't stopped post players from stepping up their game, making the match between the guests DePaul and the home team exciting.
Are you in the mood for even more basketball? Hit up the XL Center again on Feb. 13, when UConn takes on the mighty Bearcats, who have seen their highest rankings in nearly four years. In December, the Cincinnati team was ranked 19th after holding Texas Southern in a 94-57 victory. The team hadn't been ranked that high since January 2005, when ESPN/USA Today's poll put them at 17th.
Connecticut has been equally holding off defenders during their games against LSU, Harvard, Boston University and Duke. The team has been pushing the boundaries this fall, making them one of the highest ranking teams in the league, and with several NCAA Division I championship titles to defend, you can bet they are going to bring it hard.
The University of Connecticut wouldn't be the same without women's basketball, a team that has picked up the Division I NCAA Championship title six times, including the one in 2009. The ladies of UConn aren't used to losing, so they are sure to defend their basket, jump for the rebounds and hit all those 3 pointers when St. John comes around Feb. 13. The Red Storm will powerfully hit the Connecticut team, as they've been equally accustomed to triumphs this season, winning several consecutive games early on.
St. John's has similarly been ranked by both the AP Poll and Coaches Poll this season, while top scoring sophomore Da'Shena Stevens keeps the team running toward victory. Meanwhile, number one UConn is sure to try to hold their ranking at the top.
This winter isn't just about sloshing through the chilly, wet weather. Instead, find a nice and comfortable seat within the XL Center and watch all the wins and losses that the Connecticut teams hit. Hartford, Conn. wouldn't be the same without this well known university, so when you're in the area you better make sure that any of these basketball tickets are in your hand!
