Treatment For The Venom Of Spider

Spiders are creepy crawly creatures that many people are terrified of

. There are over 30,000 species of spiders in the world. Some are small some are big. Some fly and some bite. With all of the different species running around, it can be nearly impossible to determine which one you have encountered. Nearly all spiders have venom so this is not something that can easily be avoided. Some spiders venom is not fatal and you may just see swelling, blisters, white heads and bumps.

How do you know if youve been bitten? Some signs of a spider bite are redness, itching, pain and swelling of the area. If you are allergic to spiders your symptoms may worsen due to the severity of the allergy. If you experience reactions such as hives, dizziness, weakness, or shortness of breath, call paramedical or get to your local area hospital as fast as you can. If you do not know that you are allergic to spider bites but you start to show signs, like the ones named above, then you may be allergic and you need to consult an emergency physician right away.

If you do not know the type of spider that you have been bitten by it will be crazy to sit around and perform research. The key is to get the venom out of you as soon as possible so that you wont endure any abnormal side effects or fatal injuries.

Treatments that are given for spider bites differ depending on the severity of the bite and the type of spider that bit you, if this information is known. In most cases a medical physician may treat a spider bite with a simple cortisone shot. This shot helps relieve the pain and some of the discomfort that comes along with a bite. This shot will also prevent further infection and results may be seen within a few days. A follow up visit will most likely be needed and requested from the physician to ensure that there is no more infection or any other damage has taken place.

Another form of treatment is cutting into the area of the bite and scraping out the infection. This process can be painful and may require an extensive hospital stay. This procedure is a long process and may not be as effective as the shot.

Antibiotics are also another treatment option these may take at least 3 days to a week depending on the type of antibiotic that has been prescribed and your reaction to the medicine. Since everyones body is different some antibiotics may not be effective and another medication may be prescribed in that case.
