Namibia neighbours South Africa and is a very popular tourist destinations, especially for South Africans. It also shares borders with Zimbabwe, Botswana, Angola and Zambia. The country was governed by Germany and South Africa up until 1990 when a democratically elected government took over, and Namibia achieved independence. Although Namibia does make money from other industries such as mining, fishing and agriculture, the fastest growing industry is tourism. Being in Africa, means that the weather is typically quite hot, with summer days often getting up to 35C and winter days not often going below 23C. You don't have to have a lot of money to travel to fun places. High paid doctors and lawyers aren't the only ones who get to go to new and exciting places. All it takes to travel like the pros is a little creativity and flexibility. There are some wonderful places to visit within the U.S that many people haven't explored. I love to go to California when I have a little time off and a few bucks to spend on a trip. California offers diverse landscapes and incredibly entertaining cities. My personal favorite area to visit is up north in the Bay Area. I love San Francisco and count it as probably my favorite city to stay in for a short vacation. The city boasts great museums, fun shopping, and very accessible public transportation. Getting to the city from the airport is as easy as hoping on the metro line and taking about a 20 minute ride.
