Some Healthy And Nutritious Recipies For Your Baby

Banana Pancake Recipe

Ingredients:

2 bananas, cut into disks

1/4 cup wholemeal self-raising flour (for dusting)Some Healthy And Nutritious Recipies For Your Baby


1 cup wholemeal self-raising flour

1 tbsp sugar

1 egg

3/4 cup milk

50g butter, melted

Method:

1.Dust the bananas in the 1/4 cup of flour to coat.

2.Mix 1 cup of flour, egg, milk and sugar in a bowl

3.Heat a frying pan and melt a little butter in it.

4.Dip the banana disks in the batter and fry on each side until golden.

Veggie dosa

Ingredients

Rice - 1 cup

Toor dal - 1/2 cup

Channa dal - 2 tblsp

Urad dal - 2 tblsp

Vegetable of your choice - 1 cup (chopped) - You could use spinach, tomatoes, bottlegourd, zucchini, carrot etc

Salt - as needed

Dry red chillies - 4

Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp

Ginger - 1 " piece

Cumin seeds - 1 tsp

Oil -

Method

1.Wash and soak the rice and lentils for 1 hour.

2.Grind them together to a coarse texture along with the vegetable. Add chillies, ginger, cumin seeds, asafoetida, salt and the required water. Make a consistent dosa batter.

3.The batter can be used immediately to make dosas and does not need to be fermented.

4.Heat a non stick pan on medium high heat.

5.Take a spoon full of the batter and pour into the center.

6.Spread the batter using clockwise circular motion with the back of the spoon.

7.Pour some oil in the center of the dosa and also on the sides.

8.Cook until both the sides are done. Usually it takes 2 minutes on each side. Leave it a little longer on the tawa if you want it crispy.

Apple Cider

Ingredients

(for 1 cup)

Apples - 2 big/3 small

Method

1.Wash and chop the apples into small pieces with the skin on.

2.Puree it in a blender/mixie.

3.Using a very thin strainer and the back of a spoon, squeeze out the juice alone. You can also use a clean white cloth or cheese cloth to squeeze the juice.

4.(If you have the juice extractor jar in your mixie, it makes making apple cider very easy as the juice is automatically separated.)

5.You can make apple cider more delicious by adding spices like cinnamon, nutmeg and clove. Or add some lemon juice.

This tasty yet delectable drink will surely please your kid.
